What is Phishing?

Protect Sensitive Information
Keep in mind that eatOSIndia will never ask you to send sensitive information such as your username, password, full social security number, bank account details or credit card information over email, phone or text message. If you receive a suspicious email, don’t reply to the message, give out any personal or account information, click on any links, or open any attachments. If you believe that you have fallen victim to a phishing scam, please change your email and ePaisa account passwords immediately and report the incident immediately by emailing us on fraud@eatOSIndia.com
Phishing emails often lead you to fake or “spoof” websites in an attempt to steal your private, sensitive data. These could look very unusual and not fit with what you expect from the company, or could appear very genuine – but end up having a suspicious URL in the web address bar. If you believe you’re on a spoof website, don’t enter any information.
Instead, all you have to do is copy the site’s web address and paste it into an email message; send it to email@example.com. Our security experts will examine the site and if it’s bogus, we’ll get it to shut down. With this simple action, you’ll be helping us keep our entire community safe.
Always be sure that you’re on a secure site before entering your eatOS login information. To do so, check that the web address in your browser is https://xxx.eatos.com/ and that the locked eatOS icon has populated next to this web address.
